The body adapts easily to change, which is why we don’t continue to improve when we do the same thing day after day.
We need to consistently challenge the body with new stimuli like increased weights, more reps, or more work performed in a shorter time, longer runs, or completely new and novel activities. Rest assured, in the long term, there is no ‘easy’ way to exercise for optimal results, but if you push yourself and increase the volume, intensity, or the difficulty of your workouts, you’ll reap the rewards.
Just remember to increase the challenge of your activities slowly, so as not to overdo it. Strive to increase the difficulty of your training sessions by lifting heavier weights, doing more reps, moving for longer, or doing more work in a shorter period.
