YOU WON’T ALWAYS REMEMBER exactly what you eat day-to-day. A nutrition journal allows you to look back on what you ate objectively and with greater clarity. It will then be easier to see the areas of your diet that can be fine-tuned.
I have noticed in clinical practice that when my clients are writing a food journal, they are also more likely to stick to the plan because they know they’ll have to write it down if they don’t. This is a powerful tool for creating accountability. They are also more aware of what they are eating because they know that they will have to record it.
