You can’t train all THE time, and while it’s true that sometimes you may not exercise enough, there are also times when you’ll be tempted to exercise too much.
Recovery (sleep, rest, and active rest) are crucial for the restoration and repair of your body. This ‘remodelling’ of the body is what we are stimulating in training. Training, to some degree, ‘breaks the body down’ whereas your recovery time ‘builds the body back’.
So, honour this process and train hard, but also support your efforts by eating and sleeping enough, relaxing when needed, and doing gentle restorative exercises to move, mobilise and activate the body.
