One of the best ways to become more active is to find things that you love to do.
Several (OK…many…) years ago, when I was a competitive weightlifter, I also got into Salsa dancing, and I noticed that a strange thing happened. The increased activity, despite being gentle enough to not tax my body after tough training sessions, helped me to become even leaner than I already was, and served as ‘active recovery’ that I believe aided my repair from hard squatting and lifting sessions.
Set aside a little time to brainstorm some activities that you would love to try. Find a local group or venue that caters to that and give it a go!
